Compact Design 18CH CWDM CCWDM Multiplexer with High Wavelength Accuracy and Stability for Optimal Network Performance
The 18CH Compact Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer (CCWDM Mux) delivers the functionality of traditional CWDM in a radically miniaturized form factor. Utilizing advanced free-space optics technology, CCWDM achieves superior optical performance within a package over 75% smaller than conventional CWDM modules.
Key Advantages Driving CCWDM Adoption:
* Space Efficiency: Ideal for high-density applications where rack space is critical.
* Enhanced Optical Performance: Significantly improved wavelength accuracy, stability, and lower insertion loss compared to standard CWDM.
* Superior Signal Integrity: Features high channel isolation and minimal polarization-dependent loss (PDL).
* Protocol & Rate Agnostic: Transparently supports any protocol or data rate (e.g., 1G to 400G+, OTU, Ethernet, Fibre Channel).
Ideal Applications Include:
* Maximizing capacity in space-constrained CWDM optical networks.
* Enhancing PON (Passive Optical Network) infrastructure for FTTx deployments.
* Extending reach and bandwidth in CATV/Video transport links.
* Enabling efficient wavelength division in 5G fronthaul/midhaul, data center interconnects (DCI), and enterprise backbones.
HJY offers a compact CWDM module that provides bandwidth capacity expansion for future network growth in one of the small packages. Its compact size and unique carrier tray set it apart, and can be installed in a variety of field situations.
The compact CWDM is ultra low loss, super thermal stability, and excellent reliability, with smaller size compact design to save much space in the application. Applicable to CWDM system and optional special service

Unique Free-Space Technology
The CCWDM Mux adopts Free-Space technology, which uses light propagating in free space to wirelessly transmit data. Inside the device, adjacent signal channels are cascaded by parallel beam instead of the fiber. This saves a lot of space for package box, and the unique workmanship also helps CCWDM Mux Demux with low insertion loss.
Comparison between CCWDM and CWDM
Insertion Loss <2.6 dB
The insertion loss of CCWDM Mux is about half of the conventional CWDM Mux. This reduces the overall loss of the whole link, and leaves more choices for the design of the solution.
Compact Package Design
CCWDM Mux uses the parallel beam for cascading instead of the fiber, which saves significant space. The minimum dimension of CCWDM aluminum box module is less than the 1/4 size of minimum CWDM ABS pigtailed module.
